It's the beginning of the year and of course we should be on a healthy kick. However there is something quite sexy about a chocolate chip cookie stuffed with smores..yes, you read right! Imagine feeding this to the one you desire. Umm hmm, pure hotness! Feed them this cookie and more than likely they will be ready to eat your cookie. ;)

When I saw the photo I was sold, but once you read the recipe you will understand, why it is a dessert that a courtesan should cook. It's on the new The Courtesan Cooks Collection on LoveIt!

Coconut Shrimp

Shrimp is a little crustacean known for being used to create sensual delicious delights.

The history of shrimp being an aphrodisiac goes back to Casanova who said that shrimp made him good to go for a around of love making. World famous courtesan, Madame Du Barry, served up shrimp in champagne sauce as her dish of seduction. No wonder I like Madame Du Barry so much, she was my kinda woman.

Shrimps are packed with iodine which is important to your sex drive. The iodine helps out the thyroid gland, a gland that regulates your sexual energy. Shrimps are also loaded with omega-3 fatty acids something that promotes good circulation.  We all know that good circulation makes for a happy and healthy erection.

Next time you crave to seduce your lover, whip up some coconut shrimp. Coconut happens to also be an aphrodisiac, so this is like a double dose of foodgasm in the making. OMG!

Coconut Shrimp

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup artisan beer
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
  • 24 shrimp
  • 3 cups oil for frying

Cookin’ Courtesan Style:

In medium bowl, combine egg, 1/2 cup flour, beer and baking powder. Place 1/4 cup flour and coconut in two separate bowls.

Hold shrimp by tail, and dredge in flour, make sure to shake off excess flour. Next dip in the egg/beer batter; allow excess to drip off. Now roll the shrimp in coconut, and place on a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Heat oil to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) in a deep-fryer.

Fry shrimp in batches: cook, turning once, for 2 to 3 minutes, or until golden brown. Using tongs, remove shrimp to paper towels to drain. The only thing left to do is serve the shrimp to your lover with your favorite side dishes or just feed him/her the shrimp in bed for a bit of delicious foreplay.

Magic Mushroom Burger

Every modern courtesan should have a few burger recipes in her arsenal! Burgers are not only a great comfort food, but can be as sexy as you make them.

The following is a recipe for a mushroom burger. The mushroom is known for being hypnotic as an aphrodisiac. Mushrooms were thought to bring immortality in the times of pharaohs. I threw spinach into this recipe to add another texture and because as you know it's one of my favorite sexy food items.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Onion roll hamburger buns
  • Mayo
  • Portabella mushrooms, a bit larger than the buns since they will shrink, cleaned and stems removed
  • Garlic Olive oil ( or regular)
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Red onions, sliced
  • Tomato, sliced
  • Spinach leaf, stems removed
MAKIN IT:
  1. Drizzle the mushroom gills with balsamic vinegar and garlic olive oil, about 1 tsp or so to taste
  2. If broiling, broil them directly on oven grates in the middle of your oven or lower, not too close to the heat, with aluminum foil on another shelf underneath to catch drippings, medium heat, gills up, until edges start getting soft, about 3-5 minutes depending on heat. Flip and continue on other side 2-3 minutes, softening the mushroom but not making it limp. Adjust time to match heat and mushroom size.
  3. If grilling, grill them directly over low to medium heat, gill side up, until edges start getting soft, about 3-5 minutes depending on heat. Flip and continue on other side 2-3 minutes, softening the mushroom but not making it limp. Adjust time to match heat and mushroom size.
  4. While cooking the mushrooms, prepare buns by coating the inside with the mayo and lightly browning the mayo side in a nonstick pan
  5. Put together like you would any other burger, topping with the above ingredients and serve.
  6. NOSH on!

Oeufs Brouillés avec Saumon Fumé et Crème Citron a.k.a. Scambled Eggs with Smoked Salmon & Cream

When I saw this luscious recipe by Chef Shaya Klechevsky from At Your Palate, I knew that I had to share. It is a pairing of two delicious aphrodisiacs ( salmon and eggs) in a dish that is perfect for breakfast in bed!

As for, eggs  always a fun aphrodisiac, especially in modern European traditions. In France, brides were known to break eggs on their doorstep as a guarantee of a large family. Eggs are high in vitamins B6 and B5, which help balance hormone levels and relieve stress. It is also thought that raw eggs enhance the libido. On to the salmon which is known for assisting with stamina, purrfect for those long love making sessions. Holla! Not to mention that the pink, rosy color is thought of as a symbol for love.

This recipe is easy to make and is a serving for two! Have with your favorite champagne and then do what comes natural.. MEOW!

Scrambled Eggs adorned with Smoked Salmon and Lemon-scented Cream
The ingredients:

  • 3 Tbls Crème Fraîche (or thickened greek yogurt like Chobani)
  • 3/4 tsp lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 tsp finely chopped/grated lemon peel
  • 1/4 tsp fresh thyme, finely chopped
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 Tbls unsalted butter
  • 1/2 bunch chives, finely sliced
  • 4 thin slices of smoked salmon (try to use the freshest, pale pink you can find)
  • Salt and black pepper

Preparation:
  1. In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of crème fraîche (or yogurt) with the freshly squeezed lemon juice, the finely chopped lemon peel and thyme. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Cover and keep in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  2. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine the 4 eggs, sliced chives and remaining tablespoon of crème fraîche (or  yogurt). Add a few dashes of salt and pepper and whisk until completely incorporated into a smooth batter.
  3. Layer the slices of smoked salmon, and cut thin strips and set aside.
  4. Over medium-low heat, melt the butter in a medium skillet. When the butter begins to bubble, your pan is ready.
  5. Pour the egg and chive mixture into the pan and quickly agitate the mixture with a spatula to form small curds. Continue to cook the eggs until the desired doneness is reached. I prefer mind moist but not runny.
  6. Divide the scrambled eggs between two plates and add the thin strips of smoked salmon on top.
  7. Garnish with a healthy dollop of the crème citron and serve. Goes deliciously well with toasted slices of multi-grain bread.

Stay luscious and may you have a foodgasm! xoxo...
